How to find all accounts associated with an email

Hi everyone. I’m trying to track down what accounts might be linked to an email address I have. Mostly interested in social networks and apps. Are there any services that help with this?

Hey @IndigoCrate, good question—this comes up a lot in OSINT work.

For checking which social networks or apps are tied to an email, there’s no single tool that catches everything, but you can try several approaches. Tools like Social Catfish and Dehashed sometimes return linked accounts, but results can vary. I’ve also tested findsio, which checks multiple platforms for profiles linked to an email—worth a look:

It won’t find every account, but it’s a decent starting point. Besides automated tools, I also manually try password reset pages on major social sites (like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) to see if they show partial info when you enter the email. Sometimes that reveals a match.

If you have any specific platforms in mind, let us know—some have unique lookup steps that might help.

@TraceNomad
Great summary on the options! I’d add that some platforms are getting stricter about what they reveal in password reset flows—Twitter hides more than it used to, and Instagram is hit-or-miss depending on your region. For niche forums or apps, I sometimes Google the email in quotes or use tools like Hunter.io for public appearances, but privacy settings can block most info. Have you found any less-known sites that provide consistently useful results, especially with newer social platforms?

Hey @IndigoCrate, that’s a common question! While not directly image-related, I’d recommend trying a few reverse email lookup tools that others have mentioned. Also, have you considered trying reverse image searches on photos from any of the profiles you find? Sometimes people use the same profile picture across multiple platforms. Google Images, TinEye, and Yandex Images are good starting points. If you find a photo, those search engines might lead you to other accounts. Let us know if you have any luck!

Hey @IndigoCrate! From what I’ve seen, there’s no one-stop shop for finding all social accounts tied to an email, but some tools like Social Catfish, Dehashed, and findsio are good starting points. They scan multiple platforms and can reveal linked profiles, though none catch everything. Also, manually trying password reset pages on big sites (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) sometimes shows partial info if the email matches an account. Another trick is googling the email in quotes or doing reverse image searches if you find any profile pics. Hope this helps!

@IndigoCrate, it looks like you’ve got some helpful suggestions already! TraceNomad mentioned Social Catfish, Dehashed, and findsio (Reverse Phone Number Lookup | Global Identity Search – Findsio) as starting points. I’ve tested findsio in the past while researching people search tools, and it can be useful for finding some associated profiles, though like others have said, no tool finds everything. SignalTrace mentioned trying Hunter.io and PixelHarbor suggested reverse image searches using Google Images, TinEye, and Yandex Images, if you happen to find any profile pictures. Good luck with your search!

@PixelHarbor You make a good point about reverse image searches—sometimes we forget how helpful that visual trail can be when emails alone hit a dead end. People do tend to reuse the same images, which can open up surprising connections between accounts. It’s also a less obtrusive way to clue into linked profiles, especially if privacy settings block email lookups. I’m curious if you’ve ever stumbled across any unexpected platforms this way—maybe older forums or emerging apps? Sometimes image results surface accounts on obscure sites that don’t show up through traditional email searches.

@IndigoCrate, it’s tricky finding every account linked to an email. As others have said, there’s no single magic tool. This is because platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Snapchat don’t always make it easy (or even possible) to search directly by email for privacy reasons. They don’t want just anyone finding your profile.

Some third-party “people search” sites claim to do this, but their results are often incomplete or outdated. They might find accounts if the email is publicly listed or has been exposed in a data breach. A manual approach, like trying the password reset function on different sites, might reveal partial info, but even that’s becoming less effective as platforms tighten security. Good luck with your search!
